St. Mary’s Golf Scramble

Event Description
Date September 17, 2012

Designation TIPS

For many years, we have presented one of the most respected golf outings in our region. From the inaugural Foundations on the Fairways to the last two years as the 100 Hole Marathon, our golf outings have always been top-notch.

This year, we will return to a modified Stableford scoring golf scramble format with our friends at the Guyan Golf & Country Club. Guyan is the premier country club in this part of the state, and the golf course is one that many look forward to challenging. We look forward to the presenting of another very visible and memorable golf event for you and your guests.

St. Mary's Medical Center Foundation has teamed with the Nick J. Rahall, II Appalachian Transportation Institute to present Transportation Injury Prevention and Safety (TIPS), a program designed to increase awareness about transportation safety. TIPS is a two-part program developed by St. Mary's Regional Neuroscience Center that consists of an annual youth safety fair and an education plan delivered to school children throughout the school year. The program includes safety education for many forms of transportation, such as bicycles, scooters, ATV's and automobiles.

St. Mary’s Black-Tie Luau

Event Description
Date May 12, 2012
Location Guyan Golf & Country Club
Attendees Approximately 600
Designation St. Mary's Center for Education

We pride ourselves in making the gala the premier social event in our region year after year. The tradition started with a mystical evening at the Sakhai home on the banks of the beautiful Ohio River. The signature event progressed to include the venues of Pullman Square, CSX Corporation, Marshall University's Football Stadium, St. Mary's Center for Education, Camden Park and Charlie's Harley Davidson. Each held their own and created a new level of excellence as a unique and unforgettable evening with friends and colleagues.

For 2012, we are planning another event that you will not want to miss. Guyan Golf & Country Club will host our ninth annual gala. This signature event will feature fun-loving sights and sounds that only a Hawaiian Luau could muster. You and your guests will be amazed once again as we turn a small part of the Huntington community into a slice of the South Pacific for the evening.

Proceeds of this event will benefit the St. Mary's Center for Education. We hope you will be able to join us to celebrate our friendship and support of the health and education in our region.
