The St. Mary’s Medical Center Foundation is run and managed by a team employed by the Mountain Health System. This keeps the Foundation’s operating expenses at a minimum and allows us to be the best possible stewards of resources you invest in helping people.
Bradley serves as the Vice President for Corporate, Foundation and Donor Philanthropy for Mountain Health Network. In that role, he is responsible for the fundraising of all the Foundations in the Network. His goal for the St. Mary’s Foundation is to focus the major fundraising efforts on raising money for St. Mary’s Regional Heart Center, it’s Center for Education and School of Nursing, and the Hospitality House on campus that serves the families of patients who need a place to stay. Before coming Mountain Health, Bradley started and ran the consulting agency Burck Communications, where his specialty was helping nonprofits craft strategic development and marketing plans to maximize their fundraising efforts. Bradley is the author of two books, Conquering Nonprofit Chaos and You Can Ask. He also has a fundraising podcast on iTunes. Bradley is the co-founder of Forever Changed International, an organization that specializes in orphan care in Latin America. In addition, he has worked in management for several nonprofit organizations around the country. He has taught in the District of Columbia public schools and served as a legislative and communications assistant for two members of the United States House of Representatives. Bradley holds a B.S. in communication from Liberty University and a master’s in strategic communication from Seton Hall University. He also holds a certification in Search Engine Optimization and is a red belt in Tae Kwon Do. He sits on the boards of the Huntington City Mission, Goodwill of KYOWVA, and Covenant School. When Bradley is not working, you will find him playing Archery Tag or sitting on his back porch playing the ukulele, reading books on theology and history, talking with his daughter and wife, or sword-fighting with his son. Kristi is a certified development professional with more than 16 years of experience. She joined the team as Director of Development in 2012. Her focus is on major gifts and planned giving. Most recently, Arrowood was a senior member of the Marshall University Foundation’s major gifts team, where she assisted in developing the University’s Bridge Campaign, annual reports and Thunder Club and coordinating the world premiere celebration of the film “We Are Marshall.” Kristi is passionate about her work and takes great joy in getting to know and care for the people with whom she works. Isabel (Izzy) joined the team in March of 2017 and is responsible for the Foundations’ efforts in engaging Foundations and Government entities for grants. Additionally, she works one-on-one with people who are interested in supporting the St. Mary’s School of Nursing. Izzy holds a BA in Literature and Latin from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in her native Caracas. She also has a MA in Communication Studies from Marshall University. She and her husband Mark are the co-owners of 21 at the Frederick restaurant. Izzy has an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts, the field in which she worked for 20 years. She is currently on the Board of the Marshall Artist Series and has volunteered her time and efforts for Contact of Huntington, Hospice of Huntington, The Huntington Museum of Art and Little Victories.
